For the first time, the Swedish vodka company is naming a flavor for a city. Absolut Vodka is creating special-edition flavored vodka to honor New Orleans. Launched at Tales of the Cocktail, an annual New Orleans culinary and cocktail festival attended by notable industry leaders. Absolut New Orleans the flavor of inspiration. The limited edition Absolut New Orleans is fruity mango vodka with a spicy black pepper kick. The flavor is meant to capture the unique spirit of the city. Absolut New Orleans, which went on sale 1st Aug 2007, commemorates the second anniversary on 29th Aug of Hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans.
The company only made 35,000 cases.
